The November Commercial/Industrial Marketing Exchange will feature the presentation “Delaware Statutory Trusts – Win Listings by Helping Clients Defer Capital Gains Tax!” presented by Craig Fernsler, CCIM. In this timely presentation, Tri-County Commercial Chapter member Craig Fernsler will discuss what a Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) is, how it operates, and how to help your clients decide if a DST investment is appropriate for them. Specifically, Craig will show you how you can help your clients:
- Understand how DSTs compare to traditional 1031 Like-Kind Exchanges
- List their property when they are concerned they will pay too much in Capital Gains Tax
- Invest into a “Hands Off, No Management Investment”
- Understand Institutional, Alternative Assets – Delaware Statutory Trusts
After the presentation, participate in a brief Marketing Exchange where you can present your ‘haves’ and ‘wants’. All flyers presented will be packaged together and emailed to over 1,000 commercial practitioners in the region after the program.
