What role do you hope to play on the Board?

I hope to serve as your affiliate director. I want to help advance the association’s initiatives and add value to the Commercial Chapter members.

What Association benefits and/or offerings have provided you the most value in your business?

The association offerings that have provided the most benefit to me include: The many educational programs (both with and without CE) are timely and well-prepared. I appreciate knowing the opportunities and challenges my REALTOR® colleagues are experiencing and how they impact their business, whether related to the market, rates, or changing regulations. Many networking opportunities, and strong advocacy efforts to protect homeowners’ rights. I love being part of an industry as a leader. TCSR’s strong leadership in the region is impressive!

What industry trends do you feel will affect our association in the upcoming years?

The biggest issue affecting our members will be the change to buyer agency and its impact on the real estate sale process. TCSR has shown strong leadership through education for brokers and agents, positive PR, proactive messaging, and the tools and resources members need to navigate the changing landscape. Of course, interest rates and the attainability of affordable housing will continue to affect our members and could lead to a decrease in membership.

What do you think should be the priority issues being addressed by the Association today?

Continued education and leadership on the buyer’s agent change, proactive consumer messaging on the value of a realtor on both the buy and sell side, education on and the effective utilization of emerging technology, continue listening to members’ education, networking, and professional development needs.

Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors?

As an affiliate who has worked with many REALTOR® members over the last three decades, I appreciate the opportunity to give back. I take the director role seriously and am committed to ensuring all decisions are made in the spirit of core values: always moving forward, doing the right thing, and making decisions for one and all.
