Please expand on your previous leadership experience

I was a director for Suburban West REALTORS® Association for 5 years, served as treasurer for one year and chairperson-elect for one year. I also serve on the Diversity & Inclusion committee for Tri-County Suburban REALTORS® Association and have served on Professional Standards for SWRA and am currently an instructor.

I have been a PAR director for a few years and currently serve on the Diversity & Inclusion Committee as well as the Standard Forms Committee.

What role do you hope to play on the Board?

I would ultimately like to serve as Chairperson Elect and Chair. Stepping down as Chairperson a few years ago is a decision that I’ve regretted deeply but at the same time, have learned so much from.

What Association benefits and/or offerings have provided you the most value in your business?

ZipForms, DocuSign, PAR Legal Hotline, education access, learning from some of the greatest leaders around

What industry trends do you feel will affect our association in the upcoming years?

Market changes and / or housing slump could result in a decline in membership, the NAR lawsuit could turn the entire industry upside down, the trend toward off market listings and sales could eventually impact MLS membership and association membership. However, on the flip side, offering benefits, professionalism, education, collaboration, great leadership, etc. will lead to more members from neighboring associations, helping members adapt to major industry changes and help members realize the benefits of their membership. Another positive trend I’m seeing is our focus as an association on Diversity, Inclusion and Fair Housing an dhow more diverse members are stepping up to get involved and have a voice.

What do you think should be the priority issues being addressed by the Association today?

Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors?

I truly enjoy being involved, educating the membership (I’d still be an instructor if there was no pay) and addressing the needs of our membership and the public. Having a voice is rewarding in so many ways and it’s something that not enough people realize the value of.
