Bill McCormick

CK Capital Management Corp.

13 Years Active in Real Estate-affiliated Field

What was your career prior to real estate, if applicable?

I am Co-owner and Managing Director for the company and am responsible for sales and marketing of company short sale services to REALTORS®.  I facilitate short sales for REALTORS® and their clients with major mortgage companies like Bank of America, Wells Fargo and JP Morgan Chase. Additionally, I’ve created continuing education course materials & training sessions for REALTORS®.

What type of leadership roles have you held outside of real estate?

I’ve held several Vice President executive level positions in my previous career in the financial services industry and managed a national sales organization. I have also coached kid’s sports for several years and served as a board member of neighborhood HOA.

As a voice for your colleagues, what strengths/insights will you bring to the Board discussions?

In addition to Suburban West, I am an affiliate member of 4 other REALTOR® associations in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. My exposure to agents and these different organizations gives me a unique perspective on the positive and negative aspects of each association and how they serve their members. I teach REALTOR® continuing education classes at these associations and often speak to REALTORS® on what they want from their board and hear feedback on what REALTORS® like or dislike about their respective Associations.

What issues do you feel the Association should be addressing?

I feel Suburban West offers a great selection of classes to its members but think expanding training to new members entering into the industry should be a key focus to help maintain the professionalism of our industry.

Why are you interested in serving as a member of the Board of Directors?

I am a believer in helping those members who we work with daily to grow their business. I often sponsor training events at the Suburban West office and at their satellite locations throughout the area and would like to help impact the future direction of the board as it relates to affiliate involvement and support of those members.
