Pennsylvania Real Estate License Renewal

All Pennsylvania real estate licensees (salesperson, associate broker, broker) must renew their license every two years. The current renewal period began June 1, 2024, and ends May 31st, 2026.
The Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission requires all real estate licensees (including brokers and associate brokers) to complete 14 hours of education each renewal period.

My License Was Issued Before December 1, 2023, what CE do I need?

If your license was issued before December 1, 2023 you are a ‘seasoned’ REALTOR®.
To renew your license, you must complete 14 hours of continuing education.
The Commission-required hours include: 3 Hours in Agency Relationship & 2 Hours in Fair Housing.

My License Was Issued on or After December 1, 2023 – November 30, 2025, what CE do I need?

If your license was issued on or after December 1, 2023 – November 30, 2025, you are in your FIRST renewal cycle. The Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission has developed 14 specific hours of mandatory continuing education for licensees in their first renewal cycle.

Virtual via Zoom (Instructor-led courses held via Zoom, not self-paced).

Where Do I Renew My License?

Licensees will apply for renewal in the spring of 2026 through their PALS account via the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission.
Please note that renewal will not be possible until the Commission officially opens the renewal portal. Additionally, brokers must complete their license renewal prior to any associated licensees.

*NOTE: Do not submit your renewal application until you have completed all 14 hours of required continuing education. Applications may be subject to audit, and incomplete transcripts could delay the renewal process & result in fines.


I am Licensed in Multiple States.

The Association of REALTORS® school offers a small selection of courses with credits for both DE and NJ.

There will be a special package for DE CE courses offered at an off-site location in 2026. More information will be released once this package is available.

I am a Licensed Attorney and Need Continuing Legal Credit (CLE).

If you have a Pennsylvania Law License, you can earn credits through classes offered in-person or off-site through The Association of REALTORS® School. CLE credit is NOT offered for virtual courses.
