Michael Howell, SRS

Realty One Group Restore

20 Years Active in Real Estate

What was your career prior to real estate, if applicable?

Before entering real estate, I was a self-employed Barber. I eventually built a team and opened Like Mike’s barbershop/Salon.

What type of leadership roles have you held outside of real estate?

I am currently a John Maxwell certified coach, speaker, and trainer with an emphasis on teaching leadership and personal growth skills training to Real Estate and Business Professionals.  Prior to launching the Realty One Group Franchise, I served on the Associate Leadership Council (ALC) for Keller Williams.  I also led the Growth Committee at KW which focused on recruiting, training, and retaining real estate professionals.

I am also currently the Treasurer on of the Board of Directors at Victory Church with a congregation of over 1,000 members.  I am a LifeGroup Leader and passionate about helping Men grow and thrive in their relationships and families.

Additionally, I’ve served in various roles for Phoenixville Area Positive Alternatives (PAPA) bringing free sports services and after school programs to under privileged youth as well as the Strive Initiative in Pottstown that also support the local youth through various programs.

Finally, I’ve been a Youth Sport’s Coach for 10+ years.

As a voice for your colleagues, what strengths/insights will you bring to the Board discussions?

Leadership- I believe everything rises and falls on leadership. I hold myself to a very high standard of professionalism, Integrity, and Customer service. I’m also a lifelong learner and believe that our business grows to the extent that we grow, therefore I will always encourage our members to commit to continuous education and to give back in service at our local and state level.

Integrity- Do the right thing in all things. I have a saying in my office that goes “we don’t have to agree on everything, but we must agree on 1 thing and that is, we need to treat people (agent, co-ops and clients the public) the way we would like to be treated.

Why are you interested in serving as a member of the Board of Directors?

I’ve always been a very ambitious person and I love helping people grow both personally and professionally. I am also very passionate about service. I’ve had a lot of good mentors along the way and have learned that serving others actually helps me grow and I’m always striving to be the best version of myself that I can be and serving my local board gives me another opportunity to grow, while doing something I’m very passionate about. Helping people wherever I’m called to serve.
