Please expand on your previous leadership experience

As a co-owner of CK Capital Management for over 17 years, I manage a team of people on a daily basis to achieve the desired goals of our customers, partners and employees. Prior to staring CK Capital, I worked for several start-up companies in the financial services and technology industries building teams, developing business plans and executing on those plans, helping to grow the organizations.

What role do you hope to play on the Board?

I am an affiliate member at five real estate boards in PA, DE and FL, including Tri-County I have served in a number of affiliate roles at those boards, focused on education, REALTOR®-Affiliate networking, fundraising, etc. I would like to bring those varied experiences to the board in hopes of developing closer relationships with the REALTORS® and Affiliate members, particularly focused on helping new REALTORS® become successful in real estate.

What Association benefits and/or offerings have provided you the most value in your business?

I have been teaching continuing education at the board for several years and have thoroughly enjoyed getting the chance to spend time and providing knowledge to the REALTORS® in hopes of making them more successful in their business. I have also sponsored many teaching sessions at the board, which has given me the opportunity to meet and greet agents resulting I many long-term relationships with the REALTORS® who I have had the privilege of meeting and getting to know.

What industry trends do you feel will affect our association in the upcoming years?

As the market changes, post-COVID, I believe there will be many challenges facing REALTORS® as rising interest rates make it more difficult for first-time homebuyers to purchase homes. That along with the supply chain issues and pricing of materials will make home building even more expensive. I believe the market is in for a significant transition as we return to a more normal environment. With that being said, I believe it will be difficult for newer REALTORS® to adjust to this market, as they do not necessarily have the experience of working in a pre-pandemic market.

What do you think should be the priority issues being addressed by the Association today?

I am a firm believer in educating the members. Tri-County does a great job offering classes in Malvern and at satellite locations. With the market changing, I believe more than ever helping REALTORS® to understand and adjust to the challenges of the market is paramount to the success of the members.

Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors?

I believe in helping members grow their business. As an affiliate member of the board, I believe I will bring a different perspective to the role because I have experienced the positives and negatives of other boards where I am an affiliate member. This perspective could help bring some new ideas to the affiliate role with REALTOR® members.
