Celebrating Juneteenth and NAREB

On June 23, a group of REALTORS® and REALTISTS® came together to celebrate Juneteenth and the 75th anniversary of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB). Christopher Sample, president of the Philadelphia chapter of NAREB, and Arlene Wayns, chairperson of the Mentorship and Scholar program at NAREB, took attendees on a journey of discovery about the history of NAREB and Juneteenth. Special guest Carolyn Richardson-Payne engaged participants in the art of storytelling. Ms. Richardson-Payne showed everyone how sharing our stories and being willing to learn about each other bridges our cultural divide.

In honor of the celebration Tri-County Suburban donated $1,000 to the Philadelphia Metropolitan Board of REALISTISTS in support of of their efforts to promote black and brown homeownership. An additional $280 was raised from attendees at the event.
