What was your career prior to real estate, if applicable?
I am the Owner of Brandywine Staging and responsible for assisting REALTORS® in selling their properties faster and for more money by staging their listings. Along with creating wonderful spaces for buyers to fall in love with, my role is to assist REALTORS® in creating positive relationships with their sellers and to represent them well. My responsibilities, along with the coordination and implementation of staging properties, include all aspects of running a business (administration, operations, finance, customer service, etc…)
What type of leadership roles have you held outside of real estate?
My previous background before joining the Real Estate Industry was in Customer Service Banking. I was responsible for the servicing of clients and creating lifelong relationships with our customers. In my banking role, I managed high numbers of employees and was the lead project manager of a critical bank conversion for our organization. In addition to my leadership work experience, I volunteer with a few organizations, but one of my favorites is the Ronald McDonald House. I coordinate teams of “volunteer cooks” throughout the year to ensure the residents have meals and are well taken care of.
As a voice for your colleagues, what strengths/insights will you bring to the Board discussions?
As an active affiliate member of Suburban West REALTORS® Association, I have built many relationships with REALTORS® and understand many of the issues they face. With my high work ethic standards, my goal will be to continue to bring a high level of professionalism to the role and ensure we keep the mission statement in the forefront in all the decisions we make.
What issues do you feel the Association should be addressing?
As technology becomes more and more part of our everyday business, I would like to focus on how we create the personal and professional relationships with our clients and each other. Additionally, it is important to continually focus on attracting high caliber affiliate members to our Association. Supporting REALTORS® with solid support from affiliate members is one of the keys to everyone’s success.
Why are you interested in serving as a member of the Board of Directors?
I have been an active affiliate member since joining in 2007. Truly the association has been a wonderful place for support and opportunities for my company. My goal is to give back to the association as well as continuing to make it a better organization throughout the years.
