What was your career prior to real estate, if applicable?
I was in the retail business, had two stores in the Borough of West Chester & 1 in Wilmington, DE. When the malls started opening in the mid-80’s, the competition became so great, it was time to change professions.
What type of leadership roles have you held outside of real estate?
I am team leader for the Kit Anstey Team. I am involved in numerous fundraisers, was on the original Board that created Christopher’s Cure, which is responsible for 100’s of thousands of dollars towards child cancer research.
As a voice for your colleagues, what strengths/insights will you bring to the Board discussions?
I have extensive experience in real estate, not only in sales but as past President of the Chester County Association of REALTORS®, served on the Board for the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS®, have served on many panels over the years at the Board of REALTORS®. I have many top awards, recognized among the top 100 agents nationwide by Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox & Roach REALTORS®, which would help me with sales agents seeking to go to the next level. I have spoken & been part of many panels for Berkshire Hathaway as well as other area brokerage firms. I believe taking all of this into account, my involvement in education in the industry could be valuable to the membership.
What issues do you feel the Association should be addressing?
Professionalism in our industry is always an area that I think needs improvement. The continued education classes, such as Starbucks morning is invaluable. New agents and seasoned agents need to continually have education and leadership available for understanding and staying on top of our ever changing real estate profession.
Why are you interested in serving as a member of the Board of Directors?
I believe that you must give back. The real estate industry has been an amazing opportunity to lead a fulfilling and wonderful life. If there is any way that I can help my fellow agents do the same, I would always like to make myself available.
