Family Promise Montco PA

February 2023 Spotlight⭐

Family Promise Montco PA partners with the community to address homelessness and food insecurity in Montgomery County – one family at a time.

Working with more than twenty local religious congregations, Family Promise provides emergency shelter for families with children. They also host a two-year transitional housing program at an apartment building in Ambler, “Hope Gardens,” and permanent supportive housing at duplexes in Ambler (“Hope Forest”) and Lansdale (“Hope on Fifth”).

Family Promise doesn’t just provide shelter. They give families the tools they need to become self-sufficient. Families are supported by a case manager and receive help with basic needs and education on financial literacy, job skills, parenting, stress management, and more. The aim is to ensure that families become, and stay, independent.

The Family Promise Food Pantry, located in Abington, provided nearly 1,900 people with 191,000 pounds of food last year.
