20 Years of REALTOR® Membership

Please expand on your previous leadership experience

I believe my leadership journey started when I became an association office liaison over a decade ago. Getting more involved and learning about the Leadership Develop Program changed my outlook on our profession. Since the LDP of 2015, I volunteered to be on the RPAC Committee and attend as many event I could. I was honored to be elected as Secretary/Treasurer for Suburban West REALTORS® Association (SWRA) and Treasurer for Suburban REALTORS® Alliance (SRA) in 2019. In 2022, I was Chair for both the Tri County Suburban REALTORS® (TCSR) and SRA. I am currently the Immediate Past Chair for TCSR.

What role do you hope to play on the Board?

I believe my past experiences with the merger and officer positions will be an asset to the Board from sharing about our past to move the organization into the future. My role is to be involved and make educated decisions that will benefit the members as a whole.

What Association benefits and/or offerings have provided you the most value in your business?

I would say the Leadership Development Program has been my biggest asset through the association. We are fortunate to have unmatched education services, several applications to provide smooth services towards our clients and business as well as have outstanding staff to assist the members.

What industry trends do you feel will affect our association in the upcoming years?

The very low inventory has already shown a decrease in membership and overall sales throughout our region. Inflation and interest rates are signs of stress to the consumer as well. Also, keeping tabs on the DOJ and lawsuits out there may change how we conduct business.

What do you think should be the priority issues being addressed by the Association today?

Meeting the needs of the members with continuing education online and in person, providing the services needed to make transactions smoother, making sure we are financially sound for the future, maintain or improve the current committees and improve member engagement.

Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors?

I can honestly say real estate saved my life. I enjoy servicing our members and want to give back to our community. What better way to do so than being part of the Board to contribute.
