Please expand on your previous leadership experience.
While I’m still fairly new to leadership rolls within the real estate industry (5 years), I’ve had many meaningful leadership experiences outside of it that have shaped who I am and how I show up for others. One that is closest to my heart is the non-profit that my husband and I started after our son was born with Down Syndrome. From the moment we left the hospital, I felt a calling to do something. That is how Lil’ Bealsy Tee Up for Down Syndrome started. We ran it for 12 years and raised over $200k for organizations like Special Olympics, Easter Seals, and the Trisomy 21 Center at CHOP. That experience gave me hands on leadership from planning events, to managing volunteers, to working with sponsors and most importantly, it taught me how to bring people together around a shared cause. I would love to bring that same energy and heart to Tri-County.
What role do you hope to play on the Board?
I would love to be a collaborative and approachable presence on the board, someone who shows up, contributes, and helps make things better for all of us in this industry. I naturally lean toward doing for others, whether it’s advocating, encouraging, or just showing up with a positive and helpful mindset. My hope is to represent our membership well, elevate our industry’s standards, and be part of the positive change we want to see.
What Association benefits and/or offerings have provided you the most value in your business?
The training classes through the Association have been incredibly helpful, especially early on in my career. I still fi nd them valuable as our industry continues to evolve. And let’s be honest, tools like DocuSign and ZipForm make our lives easier. I’d be lost without them! Another great benefit is the PAR legal hotline. Having that kind of expert guidance available is an incredible resource.
What industry trends do you feel will affect our association in the upcoming years?
Inventory, or lack of it continues to be one of the biggest challenges and I’m not sure when that will change. Combine that with rising home prices and high mortgage rates, and it’s clear we are navigating a very different time. These trends don’t just affect our buyers and sellers, they impact us as agents too. I think the Association plays an important role in helping members stay informed, prepared, and supported through these shifts.
What do you think should be the priority issues being addressed by the Association today?
Professionalism in our industry is something I think about often. It can be frustrating when standards vary so widely from agent to agent. I’d love to see even more focus on education and member involvement. When people feel connected and invested, they tend to bring their best selves. That kind of culture starts at the Association level and I would love to be a part of strengthening it.
Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors?
I still remember sitting in one of my first trainings at Tri-County and hearing someone speak about running for the board. I thought to myself, “I want to do that someday.” I just didn’t feel ready until now. Helping others is kind of my love language, whether it’s my family or my career. Being part of the board feels like a natural next step, a way for me to grow professionally while serving and supporting my peers in real estate. I care deeply about this industry and the people in it, and I’d be honored to give back in this way.
