What role do you hope to play on the Board?
On the Board, I hope to assist in boosting member engagement through educational programs and digital tools. Additionally, I hope to contribute to discussions on ethics and compliance, ensuring a high standard of professionalism from all members.
What Association benefits and/or offerings have provided you the most value in your business?
Of the many Association benefits, I think the most beneficial is the education. The content is useful and the instructors are knowledgeable. I appreciate the prompt and helpful agent service each time I email or call the Association with questions. Docusign and Forewarn are also benefits I use almost daily.
What industry trends do you feel will affect our association in the upcoming years?
I feel there are many industry trends to pay attention to that could affect the association; from technological advances, economic factors, demographic shifts, policy changes… the list could go on. The association will need to adapt to these trends by offering relevant training, leveraging technology, and changing policy as needed.
What do you think should be the priority issues being addressed by the Association today?
The big issue on everyone’s mind today is the NAR settlement and how we need to change our everyday business practices to adapt. This needs to be addressed but we cannot halt all other aspects of our business. Inventory shortages, fair housing, and zoning laws continue to be priority issues that need to be addressed.
Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors?
I am interested in being considered as a Director nominee because I feel I can offer a different perspective on many of today’s issues. Supervising agents from across the state in a virtual platform and conversing daily with brokers from all over the country helps me to gain insight that, in a more traditional setting, wouldn’t be available to me.
