2013 – REALTOR® in the 1980s

Please expand on your previous leadership experience

I’ve held various board positions in 2 non profits and private company and the PAR board. I’ve been on Legislative and Professional Standards committees, a RPAC Trustee and Treasurer for RPAC for 2 years I’ve owned 3 separate real estate franchises, owned and operated my own building and development company and was COO of a large regional builder.

What role do you hope to play on the Board?

I’m looking to help to continue the growth of our organization bringing value through education and tools as we navigate this changing market.

What Association benefits and/or offerings have provided you the most value in your business?

I believe the educational classes the board provides brings the most value to our members. Helping the REALTORS® understand what we do and what PAR and NAR provide is also crucial to raising the bar of professionalism.

What industry trends do you feel will affect our association in the upcoming years?

The shifting market and increased rates will put a strain on both the membership numbers and how some REALTORS® will continue in this business. The lawsuits being decided over the next year will move us to respond with how we do business and we need to help the agents navigate the issues.

What do you think should be the priority issues being addressed by the Association today?

Professionalism through education, making sure our members engage more with our organization and continue to provide the tools needed for their success.

Why are you interested in serving on the Board of Directors?

I would like to share my knowledge and experience of the last 40 years in this industry to help us survive and thrive in the next few years. Planning how we engage and educate our members will be critical in this changing market.
