Tri-County Suburban REALTORS® is excited to share the 2024 “Making a Difference” REALTOR® Community Service Award winners. This year, Tri-County saw its largest pool of applicants in the six years since it has held this initiative.
2024 REALTOR® Community Service Award Recipients
Grand Prize Winner
Kathy Opperman, nominated by her husband Richard Opperman, was awarded the grand prize, a grant for $10,000 for her charity Pillars of Light and Love.

2nd & 3rd Prize Winners
2nd Prize: Lori Rogers was awarded $4,000 for her work with Pockets of Hope.
3rd Prize: Jasmine Tate was awarded $3,000 for her charity Shafir’s Journey.
Honorable Mentions
- Isaiah Martin, nominated by Shanice Bennett, Candice Johnson, and Cordell Singleton was awarded $1,000 for Empowered Community Development Corporation.
- Candy Manning was awarded $1,00 for I Choose to Win.
- Lauren Stafford was awarded $1,000 for Rise Together Cancer Foundation.
The Tri-County Suburban “Making a Difference” Community Service Awards recognize active REALTOR® members who are making an extraordinary impact on their community through volunteer work. Nominees are judged primarily on the level and impact of personal contribution. Nominees should have made a significant contribution of personal time, but contributions of money, materials and other resources may also be considered by the awards task force as well.
